Hostal Solor is located in a picturesque house 10 minutes walk from downtown and only 2 blocks from the bus terminal and the cultural centre of San Pedro de Atacama.

There are security cameras inside and outside the hostel for added security, although it is a quiet and safe neighbourhood.

LOCAL TAX LAWS. Based on local tax laws,Chilean citizens and resident aliens are required to pay an additional tax (IVA) of 19%. To be exempt from this additional tax, payment must be made in U.S. dollars (hopefully in cash) and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. This additional fee (VAT) is not included in the hotel rates and must be paid separately.

Please note that payments at the hostel by credit or debit card incur a 3.8% fee which will be added to your total rate. We always recommend paying in cash to avoid extra charges. It is also advisable to check that your bills are in good condition, as San Pedro de Atacama rejects dollars with stains, stamps, wear and tear or cut bills.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time.
